Here is the format of referencing an article using the APA 7th referencing style:
Author. (Date). Title of article. Source (e.g. Name of Journal/Magazine), volume(issue), page range. DOI/URL
Here is an example of an online academic journal article:
Huygens, I. (2016). Pākehā and tauiwi treaty education: An unrecognised decolonisation movement? Kōtuitui: New Zealand Journal of Social Sciences Online, 11(2), 146–158. https://doi.org/10.1080/1177083X.2016.1148057
Example of an online newspaper article:
